In June I met Devona, my Amma's (Grandma in Icelandic) best friend. They went to college together, and my mom and her daughter Leah have been best friends forever. She is a fun lady- I love her :) Leah and McKenna also made a surprise trip for a family friend's wedding so we got to see them for a little bit too.
Over the Fourth of July we went to Nana and Poppa' s cottage in WI. It was a LOT of fun- excep t for the boatride. I didn't like that silly lifejacket. AT ALL.
While we were there I got my first birthday present- a bubble mower! Good thing I was there to help mow, the lawn up there is huge!
Here is a picture of them at some Basilica Block Party-it was a concert and they got to see the Counting Crows. I had a fun time hanging with Auntie Robin and Bill.
The next weekend was a big one........I turned ONE!! Grandma and Grandpa came to see me and celebrate with me, and lots of family and friends came over for tacos and cake. It was delish! I also got lots of great presents.
And Grandma and Grandpa took me to the park-one of my favorite things to do!The next weekend we went to Grandma and Grandpa's for a wedding shower for Mommy and Daddy. I did something really cute w/ a bow on my head, but I can't find a picture of that. All I know is I made everyone laugh.....I liked that. Maybe I have a future in performing?

In August Mommy and I went up to Brainerd, MN to hang out with some family and hit the beach at Kavannaughs. It was a lot of fun, even though I wasn't feeling too good. My awesome cousins gave me a mohawk one night. I felt like a pretty cool dude.
Grandma and Nana came to visit also in August- we had a lot of fun and it was great to spend a little more time getting to know Nana. Then Mommy and Daddy went to a couple of weddings and I got to hang out with my awesome cousin Sammi and "Auntie" Wendy.
Other highlights of the summer:
Cheeto- I love him. He is soft. Sometimes I tackle him to give him a hug and he meows real loud.
Popsicles at daycare like the big kids.
Talking.I've really started to say words, like mama, dada (dadada....sometimes I just keep going with that one), cracker, nigh-nigh, shoes, and dat (which means cat, of course).
The P-A-R-K. We go to the park a lot and I climb up on everything and go down the slides with Mommy.
Speaking of climbing....I climbed out of my crib a few days ago, all by myself! Mommy was quite surprised when she came in my room that morning!
It was an awesome summer!
There is this big wedding thing in 2.5 weeks.....I'm sure that will be a lot of fun too :)
Love- Ian
