We made it!

We all survived the weekend! Adam did not get a deer -but I think he had a good time hanging out at the cabin with his dad, brothers, grandpa and uncle. Mr. Drooly-pants and I also had a spectacular time hanging out (even if I did go to a movie (Twilight) on Friday night and Wicked-the musical- on Saturday. Both were awesome! And I think Ian had a great time with Sommer on Friday and Robin on Saturday). We still got lots of quality snuggling time in over the rest of the weekend :)

Friday we had Ian's four month well-baby check and everything looks good! He weighed in at 15 lbs, 4 ounces (50% percentile) and measured 26.75 inches (75-90%). The nurse practitioner was very impressed w/ his head control, babbling, two teeth, and rolling over. She gave us some good info on starting solids so we'll probably be seeing some cereal-covered-face pictures here sometime soon.

In the meantime, here are a few photos to illustrate Ian's new favorite- sucking on his toes. He really enjoys doing this on his changing table, but I don't think those pictures would be suitable for this blog :)

One week later

We have a second tooth! Maybe it's because we knew what was going on so we just noticed it more but Ian was a little fussier, wasn't sleeping as well as he usually does, and put EVERYTHING he could get his sticky little hands on in his mouth. The second bottom tooth has poked through and we seem to be feeling better now.

In other news, last weekend was pretty relaxing- didn't do a whole lot but spent a lot of quality time w/ Ian. Here are just a few pics:

Hanging out in the crib.

Hanging out under the crib.

SMILES!

This coming weekend could be interesting- Adam is going 'hunting' and it'll just be me and Ian. Though I do have a hot date Saturday night w/ Vanessa to see Wicked (tickets bought oh, back in March w/ no attention paid to WI deer hunting-oops.) No fear- Ian will be well taken care of by Robin!

One last picture of Ian before I go.....

Already?!?!?!!

We have a tooth!!! The little bugger is on the bottom and appeared sometime over the weekend. Heidi, our wonderful daycare provider, noticed it on Monday, but wanted us to find it for ourselves.....which we didn't. So she told Adam about it when he picked up Ian yesterday. Ian was a teeny bit fussier than usual this last weekend but we didn't even think of teething....... hope that the rest are that easy!

We'll try to get a picture of the tooth soon!

Ice Ice Baby

Now, I am not ususally a big baby about it being cold.....I live in MN, I'm used to it. You wear a coat and mittens and suck it up. But yesterday when I went to leave for work and found this on my windshield:
and my poor little guy's little gums were chattering (can gums chatter....?) on the way to daycare even though I piled on a few extra blankets, I decided I am not down w/ the cold anymore....who wants to move to Hawaii?

Halloween! And a visit from Grandma and Grandpa

OK- almost caught up....last weekend was a good one- Grandma and Grandpa Sommer came for a visit, Halloween, Underwater Adventures at the Mall of America, and watching the Packer game on Sunday.
Even Cheeto dressed up! (not that he was excited about it!)

We went to the Halloween party at daycare-
Ian was a Huney Bear for about 5 minutes before he got a little hot.

Once we took his costume off he promptly fell asleep,
even with all the screaming and chaos surrounding him.
This explains why Ian doesn't like to nap on the weekends....too quiet!

Grandma got down and played w/ Ian a lot :)
He practiced rolling over and he is now a pro!

On Saturday we all went to Underwater Adventures.
Ian rode around w/ Grandpa through the underwater tunnel.

Saturday evening we went out for a bit
and Grandma gave Ian a bath.

On Sunday we met Paul and Natalie to watch the Packer game.

Before Grandma and Grandpa had to leave we went to the park,
where Ian swung w/ Grandpa.....

and went on the slide w/ Grandma.
It was an awesome weekend, full of fun!
