Merry Happy New Year!

I am so NOT good at the whole timely blogging thing. I'll make it my January 13th resolution to be better, ok?

Anyhoo- Ian's first Christmas and New Years was great- though he is still a little too young to know what the heck is going on. He mostly liked to eat the bows on the presents and hang out w/ everyone.

We had a great time in WI with all of Adam's side the weekend before Christmas. The long car trips went very well and Ian slept most of the time. Here are some great pictures from our time in WI:

Dinner with the Jahnke side- some of them :)

Intently studying his new toy
The ride home w/ the big dog watching over- thanks Great Grandma Jahnke!

We had a not-so-pleasant surprise waiting for us when we finally got home- a frozen waterpipe! Merry Christmas to us! It actually turned out alright- the pipe didn't fully burst and flood our garage/basement so that was good :)

We went to a birthday party for Jesus at Robins and Ian impressed everyone by scooting to the cake and grabbing a fistful of frosting.

Ian loved that lemon

On Christmas Eve we went to church-and Ian was fabulously behaved :) I think he enjoyed all the lights and the people watching and the singing! Then back to Robin's for Christmas dinner and presents.

Christmas morning we opened our presents, had pancakes and hung out at home for a little bit before we headed to Aunt Sue and Uncle Steve's. More presents and family fun, and a delicious dinner. I didn't take many photos (or any...too busy hanging out and having fun :) but here is a good one of Uncle Steve and Ian.

It was a great Christmas and spending time with family and friends was the best part!

New Years was a blast as Grandma and Grandpa came to visit and watched the ball drop with Ian- not so sure if any of them actually made it that late! Adam and I went over to the Stahlmanns for a fun night.

Alright- hope y'all had a great Christmas too and New Years-hopefully my blogging will increase in frequency in 2009 :)
